Today's good news is that Tim spent the day off the respirator and moved out of the ICU. He did have some high temps last night, and some episodes of high blood pressure, but throughout the day felt better and stronger.
I spent the day with him and got the chance to talk with Dr. P. along with Tim. The doc is not able to explain the high temps and blood pressure (especially until we get the results of Tuesday's blood cultures). He feels that Tim's lungs just need more time and treatment to get clear, and then we have to find ways to keep them cleared.
We talked about looking into a new wheelchair so that we can once again start helping Tim do the "quad cough"--that may be the best key to keeping Tim's lungs clear.
He looked over the final edits of the paper and was glad to see another issue go to bed.
I'm glad to see his wife go to bed. Now. G'night!
