Incrementally better

Not much to report today. We did have a lovely lunchtime visit outside in a pretty park across the street from the entrance to the hospital. It's actually a "therapeutic garden" created by donors to the hospital. We sat at a picnic table in the 80-degree weather and soaked up sun.

Staff insisted that Tim take a portable oxygen compressor with him, but other than that, we were free to roam, and it felt great.

Tim also had a good talk with one of the Dr. Other Pulmonologists (from the real Dr. P.'s practice), and he was encouraging. The x-ray from Saturday didn't show anything in Tim's lungs that wasn't there when he left the other hospital, and there's no sign of infection in the sputum cultures, so he's not concerned about pneumonia, but will leave him on the antibiotic for another day until the blood cultures come back.

Tim's hopeful that by Wednesday he'll have more news on the clinical and healthcare services fronts, and he could be heading home soon. Fingers crossed. Prayers offered. And meanwhile, we Midwesterners are enjoying this early spring warmth.
