Great news, and many thanks!

The prayers of so many family and friends and supportive others, added to all the good care and medication that Tim has been getting at United hospital, have done it!

After having been in intensive care due to complications from pneumonia since last Tuesday (1/25), Tim moved out of the ICU yesterday (Mon., 1/31 at 4:00PM). Over the weekend, he became stronger and his heart rate and lung functions went back to normal, and his temperature, while still elevated, was manageable. As of this morning, even his temp has been completely normal (below 98)!

His doctor has him getting out of bed now for several hours a day, and on Sunday and Monday he was breathing without the assistance of the respirator for a couple hours at a time.

He'll still be on IV antibiotics for some time, and it will take at least a few more days in the hospital and some time afterward for him to recuperate, but all looks good!

Thanks for calling and writing (and to Cindy and Jim for being here!), and many thanks for your prayers and good thoughts.

Important note for those in the area: Tim's in room 3434, and would appreciate visits, BUT PHONE CALLS are not practical. He can't answer the phone, and even if someone answers for him, he's still connected to the ventilator and can't talk.
