A quiet anniversary

Ok, so today it was easy to remember the range of possibilities in those vows we took (better, worse; sickness, health). And how much fun we had a couple years ago getting married. But we also quietly celebrated being with one another now. Tim also suggested a little party, just for the two of us, in a couple of weeks.

All in all, it was a good day: slow progress, and no backsliding. No mysteries solved, but no new ones created. The antibiotics seem to be doing their job; Tim's temps were in the 98-99 range. He weaned for a few hours in late afternoon, early evening; was up for 4 hours from 3-7PM. Had a bout of nausea in early evening.

Dr. Infectious is waiting for the cultures to come back, and has instructed Tim (and supporters) to hope that the problem is not pseudomonas returned. If so, he'll put him on a 4-week-plus course of antibiotics. So let's hope and pray, hm?

Thanks for being here with us. Good night.
