Hearts and flowers...and snow

Here's my valentine, who celebrated the day by getting all heated up. After a quiet morning and afternoon, Tim spiked a temp of 101.5 at 5:00PM. So they started IV antibiotics again (zosyn and tobramycin), gave him ice packs, and when I left at 9:00PM, he was down to 100.3. Still, he got in 7 hours in the chair and a couple hours of weaning. But the mystery continues.

I took the following pictures to Tim, thinking that the sight of snow might cool him off. When Pippa and I went out this morning (me brushing my teeth as usual, Pippa to take care of other morning needs), this is what we found on deck and in driveway.

And finally, the most romantic thing that could happen in the midst of illness, Valentine's and our anniversary. Our living room Christmas cactus, which blossomed spectacularly this Christmas, decided to bloom forth again...just for us...and you. Enjoy!
