Super Bowl fun day

Ah, this is the life: an uneventful day. At least, clinically uneventful. Just to get those issues out of the way, here's the news: temp still in the 99-100 range; chest x-ray continuing to show improvement; some UT discomfort and briefly raised BP--probably due to a one-time administration of a medication to help with flow (didn't write its name down). All calm at end of day. No skin breakdown, but one red spot on heel that may be a blister.

And maybe the most fun of the day? As we sat around in the afternoon proofing the galleys for the February paper, Tim joked, "Hey, when you come back this evening, bring Pippa." And lo, the nurse on duty said, "Sure, you can bring in a dog." She even looked up the policy, and service dogs are allowed, per the ADA, as well as therapy dogs. We count Pippa as both. Here are the excitedly reunited dog and man.

We got a lot done in Tim's afternoon 3 hours a la chair, hm? (He'd also had 2 hours in the morning.) Wishing him and you a good night's sleep.
